A manufacturing/distribution company in Orange County California is hiring a Java Analyst/Programmer at an annualized salary of $85,000 - $95,000 plus benefits and bonus (current target is 8 1/2% annually). The successful applicant in this position will have the potential to ultimately grow into a System Architecture role.

This company’s national headquarters is located in Orange County. The company currently does about $3.4 billion in annual revenue with plans to grow to $6 billion by 2010. This aggressive growth will involve significant investment in Information Technology thereby providing substantial opportunity for career and technical skills enhancement.

Under the direction of a Team Lead or Manager, the Sr. Java Analyst/Programmer will participate in the analysis, design, programming, implementation, and support of applications and technical infrastructure. Responsibilities will include:

• Develops a strong understanding of the function of all systems that interface with their assigned application in order to effectively support and improve the on-going architecture of related applications.
• Stays abreast of current and future business policies, procedures, and workflows within the Business Unit they support.
• Plans, organizes, documents, coordinates, and schedules all work in the development of assigned tasks. May lead or supervise the assignments of other team members.
• Communicates project/task design, schedules, and status Management, Business Partners, or other teams and project members.
• Observes standards and guidelines and maintains documentation including data and object models.

• Seven years of experience in applications programming using a defined systems development methodology.
• 3-5 years object oriented development using Java.
• Strong knowledge of object oriented concepts and patterns and architectures.
• 3+ years experience developing for IBM WebSphere application server platform.
• 3+ years developing using J2EE standards including EJB’s, STRUTS, and Taglibs.
• 3+ years experience integrating Oracle database with java development including object relational mapping (TOPLINK experience is a plus).
• 3+ years doing business analysis and requirements gathering for complex business systems/enhancements.
